Channel Success Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Channel Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a Channel Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving our company's growth by managing and expanding our channel partner network. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize sales opportunities through our channel partners and ensure their success in selling our products or services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Channel Partner Management:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and value-added resellers (VARs).
- Develop strong relationships with channel partners, providing support, training, and resources to enable their sales efforts.
- Collaborate with channel partners to establish sales targets, performance objectives, and joint marketing plans.
- Monitor channel partner performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive sales effectiveness and growth.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement channel sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market penetration.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create effective sales enablement tools, training materials, and product messaging.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless channel operations, including inventory management, pricing, and order fulfillment.
3. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as revenue, sell-through rates, and market share, for the channel partner network.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting channel performance, key challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular business reviews with channel partners to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for growth.
4. Relationship Building and Collaboration:
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to drive alignment and collaboration.
- Coordinate and participate in partner events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote our products or services and expand channel partnerships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to anticipate changes and adjust channel strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Min. 7 years of Business Development experience, including min. 3 years leading channel sales.
- Proven track record of successful channel sales management and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of channel sales dynamics, partner ecosystems, and distribution models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with channel partners.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with channel partners and attend industry events.
